Sweat It Out in Old Navy Activewear!
Another awesome time spent at one of my favorite stores Old Navy! Crowdtap offered me a sample share where they sent me two coupons, both redeemable for an active wear top and bottom in Old Navy's active wear collection.
I took my teenage daughter for this one because we both have the New Year's Resolution to lose weight and get in shape for 2013. Plus, I know that if she gets the gear with me we have no excuse to workout! I was really thinking when we went in that the workout gear would be upfront and center. It was pretty far back in the store and they did not have a lot of space devoted to it. Still with that being said the selection was good and I loved everything I saw.
I noticed with this selection of workout gear they had, there was a lot of workout shirts. I tried on a few but ended up getting a jacket with the active wear pants. I just felt with it being still a bit chilly around here that the jacket was best because I could layer and stay warm or even wear it by itself because the jacket breaths quite well.
My daughter chose the jacket and active pants, as well, in a really cute grey. Made her look super thin!Since the great shopping experience I have been browsing the Old Navy site and have found a larger selection online and have purchased a few more outfits. I want to really be able to have no excuses, like, "my workout clothes are dirty" or "I don't have anything to wear". Them excuses are out the door and for 2013, I'm in control of my fitness destiny thanks to Old Navy and Crowdtap !
Being able to try the latest fashions with Old Navy is just a small perk from Crowdtap. I'm a part of Old Navy's Style Council on there and they have fun discussions, sample shares, and I earn points which I can redeem for awesome gift cards for places like Amazon.com. If you love clothes, love giving opinions and love earning gift cards, Crowdtap is an excellent site you should check out!

Global Green USA Green School Makeover Competition Presented by Pureology
I was just alerted today, by Influenster that Pureology is having a Global Green USA Green School Makeover Competition. This is wonderful because winning would mean changing schools for the better and teaching our kids that we care about them and their education. I encourage everyone to enter for their kids school or even just a school in your area that could use it.
You might ask WHY GREEN SCHOOLS?
WEll...
Improved student performance. When children learn in classrooms with natural daylight, improved sound quality and non-toxic building materials such as non-VOC carpets and paints, test scores can improve as much as 20%. Attendance also improves!
More funds for student resources. When green upgrades are made to a school, water and energy costs can be reduced by as much as 40%. These savings can be channeled back into resources that directly benefit students, such as textbooks, computers and other essentials.
Reduced carbon footprint. Greening a school significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions that cause global warming.
The Pureology site has wonderful ideas for your school like:
-Create a recycling program
-Conduct an energy audit to determine ways energy can be saved
-Install solar shades to improve natural daylighting of classrooms
-Switch to green cleaning products
-Install energy-efficient light bulbs
-Use sustainable building materials, such as bamboo flooring and recycled runner gym mats
-Replace outdated or unsafe carpets and other materials with new, non-toxic ones
Just click HERE and enter! When a school goes green, children benefit—as well as the environment! Don't hold back - on this opportunity to help our children and environment with your power of just entering!
